June 25-Imper Ale Ubi Rossa

Image

Collesi Imper Ale Ubi Rossa is a strong dark belgian ale by Tenute Collesi, a brewery in Apecchio (PU), Italy. The bottle is the most unusual one I had in 2014. This Italian beer took me by surprise with its very thick, beige head, a rust-red appearance, and a taste that borders on combination of fruit and red wine.

It is heavy on ABV with 8.0%.  I don’t think I would drink this beer again.
