Another opportunity to sample a California beer from a new brewery for me. The brewery is Anderson Valley Brewing Company out of Boonville CA. Boonville is a town of about 1,000 located in Northern California’s Mendocino County.
Founded in 1987, the Anderson Valley Brewing Company brewed out of a 10-barrel brewhouse, located in the lower level of its brewpub, The Buckhorn Saloon. These brews began as a dream of fonder Kenneth Allen to create the smoothest tasting ales available anywhere.
The beer I sampled is one of their seasonal beers called Spring Horning. I really liked it and would rate it good. The beer is 6.8% ABV. Looking at their website this really looks like a cool place to visit. Adding it to my places I hope to get to visit.
