September 30-Double Simcoe

Some days with no warning and  when you least expect it a treat comes your way. Since last Monday my weather pattern has been gray, drizzle, and blah. Today which is Tuesday my treat was clear & sunny skies and temps in the 70’s. My evening even got better when a beer quite frankly I had been putting off drinking because my perception was it wasn’t going to be any good proved me wrong. Not just wrong but really wrong.

I selected a Pennsylvania Beer from Weyerbacher Brewing Company out of Easton PA called Double Simcoe. This beer is a world class Double IPA and checks in at 9.0% ABV. Glad I waited and recommend you give this beer a try.

Introduced by Weyerbacher in 2005 originally as a seasonal, this brew garnered numbers so high on Beer Advocate, and been in such high demand by their consumers, they decided to add it as year-round in March 2007.
