October 16-Shiner Oktoberfest

Shiner Oktoberfest

Attended a function tonight at our university that had a “Ocktoberfest” theme. The planners did it right by having Bavarian music, German food, and a great selection of German brewed or Marzen style beers on hand.

I grabbed a Texas Beer from Spoetzl Brewery out of Shiner TX called Shiner Oktoberfest. This Marzen style brew was actually better than I anticipated. It contained 5.7% ABV and I would drink it again.  I only got to stay for 30 minutes but they had some other interesting beers on ice that time did not permit me to sample.
