On my way to the UNC Pembroke Homecoming Football Game and before the tailgating grabbed a California Beer from Anderson Valley Brewing Company called Keebarlin Pale Ale. AVBC is located in Boonville, CA. This beer is low in ABV at 4.2% but has a great dry hoppy taste. Very solid beer from another brewer I really enjoy.
Some interesting stuff on the AVCB website. This region has their own language called Boontling. Boontling has received worldwide interest as a linguistic phenomenon. A few of the words you might see or hear while in Anderson Valley include: bahl gorms (good food), buckey walter (pay phone), pike (to walk or travel), rookie-to (quail), harp (to talk or speak), horn of zeese (cup of coffee) and Boont (Boonville).
