As this quest to drink a different beer each day gets closer to the finish line I continue to be amazed by the generosity of my friends/family/neighbors. Last night my across the street neighbor Jef Lambdin who happens to be a professional mime extraordinaire came back from Charleston SC with some unique beers for me. I have included a picture of Jef holding two bootlegged beers from South Carolina.
Tonight selection is courtesy of Jef who picked these up at a place called The Barrel on James Island. The way Jef described The Barrel and looking at their website it is a place I have added to my bucket list of beer pubs and breweries I need to get to. He even told me if you split the wood they have you can build and start your own fire in their outdoor pit.
Back to the beer of the day it is called Homefront IPA which I drank for the record in my backyard on a warm fall evening next to my fire pit. Homefront IPA is brewed by Palmetto Brewing. This beer has 7.3 % ABV and I thought it was very good.
