North Carolina People, Places, and Things-May 27
I am the dad to five adult children. As they were growing up I attempted to remind them they were special and to implore them to learn something new. My goal was to do that daily.
In 2016 my goal is to learn something new daily on the people, places, and things that make North Carolina special.
Sometimes my position at the university I work at provides me a unique opportunity. On Wednesday I got to represent UNC Pembroke in a golf tournament to benefit scholarships for staff employees at all the campuses.
The tournament was played at Tobacco Road Golf Course in Sanford, NC and it was the most unique golf course I have ever played.
UNC Pembroke entered two teams in the event and both teams did well shooting a 54 and 55 respectively.

I came across a great review of the Tobacco Road on a website called Breaking 80. If you are looking for a unique golf course in North Carolina this is it.
The review will let you see each hole. The elevations are unbelievable along with the number of blind shots this course requires.
