North Carolina People, Places, and Things-June 17
I am the dad to five adult children. As they were growing up I attempted to remind them they were special and to implore them to learn something new. My goal was to do that daily.
In 2016 my goal is to learn something new daily on the people, places, and things that make North Carolina special. Everyday this year I am doing a post on what I have learned new.
Every college campus has interesting faculty members. My university UNC Pembroke has many and I am fortunate to call a bunch of them close friends.
I came across a neat piece on UNC TV this week that is posted online about a faculty member who works at UNC Wilmington.
His name is Clyde Edgerton and he is a distinguished writing professor at UNCW.
Clyde Edgerton, raised in the community of Bethesda, near Durham, NC, has published ten novels. Edgerton is the Thomas S. Kenan III professor of Creative Writing at UNC Wilmington. He lives in Wilmington, NC, with his wife, Kristina, and their children.
