North Carolina People, Places, and Things-June 24
I am the dad to five adult children. As they were growing up I attempted to remind them they were special and to implore them to learn something new. My goal was to do that daily.
In 2016 my goal is to learn something new daily on the people, places, and things that make North Carolina special. Everyday this year I am doing a post on what I have learned new.
Right outside Monroe, NC there is a business called Treehouse Vineyards. It is a family owned business, which was established in 2005 on the 200 year old family farm and opened to the public in 2010.

Treehouse produce hand crafted Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Dry White Blend, and several award winning Native Muscadine Wines. The business gets its name from their treehouses charmingly placed around the vineyards.
Their original Treehouse shown below is 30 feet off the ground and features a deck overlooking the vineyard. It is rented in hourly time slots.
The Papa’s Dream Treehouse shown below, overlooks the Historic Rock Quarry (now Treehouse pond) and vineyards, is available for overnight rentals and has a kitchenette, full bath, upstairs bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a gas grill on the private deck.
