North Carolina-Top 11 Bridges-August 14

North Carolina People, Places, and Things-August 14

I am the dad to five adult children. As they were growing up I attempted to remind them they were special and to implore them to learn something new. My goal was to do that daily.

In 2016 my goal is to learn something new daily on the people, places, and things that make North Carolina special. Everyday this year I am doing a post on what I have learned new.

When you work at a university you get to hear some words over and over. One of those words is bridge. One example in how it is used might be “college is the bridge between a students past and future.”

At our university we begin class so the word bridge triggered a thought what are the state’s best bridges?

I came across a website that profiled the top 11 bridges in North Carolina. I haven’t been on all of them but have walked, ran, or driven over the majority of them.

The bridges cover from the Atlantic and Outer Banks to the Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway.
