Coach4aday blog posts in 2018 are written by John Rancke and me. We write daily about leadership, food, people, music, our granddaughters, Lumberton NC, and things that pique our curiosity.

Thank You – John Rancke
Well today is the last post of 2018. For the Coach4aday blog this marks five years of publishing a daily post without missing a day. That is over 1700 posts. Not all of them were written by me.
Each year the blog has had a theme. It started out with daily posts about the “Beer of the Day” as I drank a different beer each day of the year. In 2015 it was a post about the “Friend of a Friend”. In 2016 I wrote about North Carolina and last year about “Colleges and Universities”.
Next year it will be on to something different with this blog and tomorrow will be the time to discuss that.
Today I want to say thank you to someone who gave me a great assist in 2018. In fact he often would end a number of his posts by thanking others we a phrase “Thanks for the Pass” This past year was the first time I had a co-author and boy was I blessed to be on the same team as John Rancke. So today post is an attempt to thank him.
Photo below of us delivering a presentation on blogging during the past year
Every even numbered day this past year John delivered a post. He delved into the past history of Lumberton NC. He brought us tried and true recipes from his youth. He gave us insights on where to find good burgers, hot dogs, and barbecue in North Carolina. He talked about the people that had influenced his life.
Most importantly he revealed his soul on the impact his late wife, family, and friends have had on his life. He demonstrated that he is a leader that possesses a great compassion for others.
John will not be writing the posts in 2019. He wrote about that yesterday as he told us that writing something creative 3-4 times a week had became a chore versus a joy. I totally respect and support his decision. What I cannot do is to let the year end without thanking him.
So I am asking you a favor find a way to join me in telling John THANK YOU
