Sometimes when I just sit still random thoughts race thru my mind. Two days ago I began thinking of songs that I liked or that were memorable that referenced sharks. The more I tried to think of something else these songs raced thru my head.
Here is a list of what I came up with
Mack The Knife-Frank Sinatra
Oh, the shark has pretty teeth, dear
And he shows them, pearly white
Theme Song to Movie “Jaws” by John Williams
But now she lives down by the ocean
She’s takin’ care to look for sharks.
They hang out in the local bars,
And they feed right after dark.
Hammerhead Shark-David Lee Roth
Lord said to Noah
‘Fore ya float that arc
You better save me a space
For my hammerhead shark
Whoa yeah, the hammerhead shark
Recently there is a song that my 21 month old granddaughter has become fascinated with its called “Baby Shark”. This children song about a family of sharks is suspected of getting its start as a campfire song. Well if that is the case than social media caused it to go viral and it is mainstream in my house any time she visits.
If you haven’t heard or seen the song performed it involves each member of a family of sharks being introduced with different hand motions.
Here is some Baby Shark to close out my post. Hoping it will get those shark song lyric out of my mind.
