A RUSE is an action intended to deceive someone. I follow several blogs and never realized George Patton had to humble himself in WW II and be a role player during D-Day.
Patton had no shortage of an ego that wasn’t lost on the Germans so his made up role for D-Day was extremely believable.
I learned of his role in the RUSE by reading a July 6, 2019 post by BitesnBuzz. That post that had a great video that tells us all about it.
George Patton was used by Dwight Eisenhower to deceive the German Army.
We all have heard the saying “All is fair in love and war”.
Unfortunately there are too many examples of this quote being used when people try to justify bad behavior.
In the case of World War II and D-Day the entire attack was composed of many components of deceit. Many of those are outlined here
Most of our daily interactions with others will not be enhanced by a RUSE. When we live our lives like every day is battle instead of a gift we will be tempted to deceive others.
