Winners

I had a fantastic professor at East Carolina University in the 1970’s who taught Intro to Business. I took the class as an elective and to this day I actually remember two fabulous concepts Mr. Robert Jones our instructor taught us.

Here are the two gems I remember.

1. It is not overpriced if someone is willing to buy it.
2. In every down market there are still WINNERS.

For many sectors of the economy the pandemic has been a real downer. Yet as my ECU professor correctly stated in every market there are still some WINNERS.

Well here is a look at some of them.

1. Hand Sanitizing Billboard Kiosks-here are some examples One company Terraboast Media has seen there sales dramatically rise since the pandemic.
2. Grocery Stores-With restaurants closed early in pandemic people were cooking at home and grocery stores were all winners.
3. Liquor Stores-In North Carolina from April to June 2019 all state stores did 246 Million Dollars of sales. In 2020 during the same period it was 341 Million Dollars-which is a 38% increase-Story on WRAL
4. Amazon-has boomed with online purchases.
5. The emergence of Zoom

I am pretty sure there are some hard working entrepreneurs out there positioning themselves to be the next set of WINNERS.
