#Tips December 29

Coach4aday is a daily blog featuring shared ideas to help people grow and learn. You can follow the blog with one of the like buttons found on top left of Coach4aday website.

In 2020 some Coach4aday posts will feature lessons learned by completing, planning, and experiencing 30 day challenges. The challenges include physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional.

Tips

Tomorrow ends the 30 Day Photo Challenge for December. It has been a great learning experience about taking pictures for me. I wanted to recap some photo TIPS.

I follow a blog called TravelwithJun and back on December 12, 2020 the site posted a very helpful TIPS of IPhone Photography.

It may have been fundamental to many but I like two TIPS in particular the first being how to use the “grid feature” of the IPhone and the second was to use the “Live Photos” feature. The grid feature totally helped understand “Rules of Third” which happened to be the challenge on Dec 4th.

I also have always been stumped on how to capture a picture when people are moving. Voila, along comes the TIP on how to use Life Photo.

In addition to the TIPS I learned this month I also realized that certain elements are key to taking a quality photo. Lighting is one basic fundamental. The images you get with front, side, and back lighting all produce a different image.

Three daunting photo challenges for me were the silhouette, abstract, and leading lines. I can honestly say I had no clue on how to do these prior to the beginning of the month but with TIPS on found online and from friends I was able to produce a result. To be honest I am also a little concerned about the self-portrait which is tomorrow’s final photo challenge.

One final TIP. Have you phone or camera always ready.

Experiencing life often gives us unannounced glimpses of beauty. This month I have become more aware of images and I give credit to the challenge for that. For example today’s photo prompt was SHADOW/LIGHT. Last night I had finishing packing up Christmas decorations and I turned off the light to the room. The ladder I had ben using was propped against the wall. The light from the street lamp gave me the SHADOW/LIGHT picture below. That moment happened because I have become more aware.

For everyone that participated in the December #coach4adaychallenge 30 Day Photo Challenge-thank you.
