Invited
One of the perils of being so connected with technology is the number of times in a week you can get INVITED to something. Many of them expect an RSVP
If an RSVP is required when you get INVITED to an event, it means the host want to to know if you plan to attend. One way to respond is to send your regrets.
In additions to parties you can be INVITED to like something, you can be INVITED to follow a business or person, you can get INVITED to click a link, and last but not least you can be INVITED to join other people in their drama.
It is that last INVITE that can be very problematic. We get INVITED to participate in many conflicts via social media. If we say yes to everything we really don’t have time to do any of it justice.
I have a fantastic friend and leader named Edwin Britt who is a Professional Speaker/Sales Trainers at Edge Global Inc.
Edwin is like many successful leaders in that he is often sharing his wisdom and insights with others. Last week he shared something about how we need to be selective on each INVITE we receive.
He found the quote below on a great website called The Daily Difference
Some INVITES just need to be sent regrets.
