Each year the blog takes on a different focus. In 2019 the goal is for each post to bring you the reader a lesson, quote, message, or story that can help you grow.
Learning
My neighbor Kenny Biggs and I were sweating profusely one morning on the golf course as we walked 9 holes together. We both began to discuss how we still are fascinated with LEARNING. We shared stories of both of using YouTube or Google to learn a new skill or improve our knowledge base.
I have recently launched a new website and I told Kenny that I had to stop numerous times to view YouTube videos to help me install widgets, plug-ins, and menus. It took time but each video kept me LEARNING.
The 21st century has different educational tools to help us learn. Most of those new tools are related to technology but it should remain a tool and not be the only method to LEARNING.
LEARNING has to start with a curiosity and technology cannot provide us that.
Curiosity is important for many reasons. Here are a few.
- It keeps your mind active instead of passive
- It keeps you aware of new ideas
- It opens up new possibilities for your life
- It keeps your life exciting
Curiosity leads to LEARNING and it is something that can be nurtured.
